Five days before our official wedding (the main event in Thailand), we got hitched legally in Sydney in front of family. It makes it so much easier when getting married abroad, to do the 'legal bit' at home, so our low-key ceremony allowed us to do the necessary legalities before flying off to Thailand.

While the Australian Government regards 17 March as our wedding date, to us 22 March (our Thailand wedding date) will forever be the date that we celebrate as our anniversary. We've actually got 22.03.19 engraved in our rings.
